I called Aetna today and they said I was denied because I didn't show prof of my 3 month weight lose program with Nut but I did and I called the surgeons office and they said don't worry and they will do a peer to peer. Do u know how long it will take for a peer to peer ? The feeling of hearing the denial word is heartbreaking

Aetna said they denied me because I didn't have paperwork proving that I did a three month weight loss program but I did i'm waiting for west medical to do a peer to peer does anyone know how long that takes?

I called Aetna today they said that my application was still pending but it was on the commissioners desk and I guess he's the very last one that signs off on it so they said I should have an answer within 24 hours I'm just praying for a approval tomorrow because only God knows how I feel in this body for many years! I never thought it would get to this point but life happens and sometimes you just get to a point where you need help! Feeling overwhelmed and depressed but I know better days are to come!!!

. What did you have to go back and forth about with Aetna, what did they try to say

I called Aetna and they said mine was pending too they told me that the date they put on my paperwork was for August 4 but I don't know if that's an actual date that I can have surgery on because I know I have to do a 2 week liquid diet? Also when I called the insurance company they told me that West medical submitted my application to them on a Friday but they had to cancel that application because they put outpatient procedure and they said they resubmitted it on the 14th to inpatient procedure so I guess they just made a mistake. It's been a total of 5 days! How many days have you been waiting?

I'm more concerned about my health as I just want to live a healthy life but I do want a family so I'm really going to check into all of this you gave a clear understanding. I am 27 years old and I have never been pregnant, I have tried over the years but no luck. I am waiting on approval for VSG right now. I'm not in a hurry to have kids. When I get down to a normal weight, do you think there's a good chance I could be a mother one day?

I had 4 Nut Visits but don't worry, they might have put it down for u. Is the office your with well known?

I got a total of 4 because the first visit was not considered one because it was my first appointment

Did you have a pcp letter of recommendation? I have Aetna Ppo and I do not have a letter.
