  1. I tried eating a 250 calorie Lean cuisine, and yeah, it didn't go down well after pretty much nothing but liquids. Also, the sodium in those things! Too much. Because my shakes give me diarrhea, i've been drinking a small amount of pedialyte. Stopping my birth control probably didnt help matters.
  2. 4 8oz shakes a day, plus SF jello and such... They said we could do 3 shakes a day and a lean cuisine, but that seemed like a lot.
  3. Hi Everyone, I know this is a "pre-op" question, but figured I get more responses from the vets! I am on day 9 of a 2 week pre-op liquid diet to shrink my liver before surgery. I have only lost 5 pounds! I'm watching my sodium intake and drinking plenty of Water. And following the diet perfectly. My PCP (?) said most people lose between 10-15 lbs, but I am nowhere near that! Has anyone else experienced this? I don't really know what to think and My surgery is on July 20th.
  4. I had bad headaches for the first 3days, then it stopped. I believe i was coming off the caffeine addiction!

  6. Hi there, I guess high liver functions are pretty normal in heavy folks. I'm over-worrying. Thanks for the reassurance.
  7. I do! And I will go check out GNC! Thank you!!
  8. Hi everyone! This is my cry for help! I'm on day 8 of the pre op. liquid diet and I am not tolerating all the Protein drinks, and I know they are essential to our health and protein after surgery. I'm just afraid i'm allergic to the whey. This is probably too much information, so sorry, but they are giving me severe diarrhea and gas. What am I going to do after surgery for a good Protein Drink without whey protein? Help! :-)
  9. Hi Everyone! I posted this in the appropriate "Pre-Op" section because I am Pre-Op, but it's actually more of a Post-Op question... still new to the site, so trying to figure it all out! My gastric bypass is scheduled for July 20th! This morning I went in for my fasting pre-op blood work (i've been on the 2-week liquid diet for 8 days now), and I come to find from the results that my liver functions are elevated. Has anyone else had high liver function results pre-op and still had a successful surgery? I'm afraid it may be cancelled due to this. To my understanding, the results are not off the charts insane or anything, but still have yet to hear back from the doctor. Hopefully, I am worrying over nothing.
