At my appointment with the psychologist. So nervous. Funny thing is I am a Psych nurse. Oh help me.
  5. I went for a sleep study last month. The nurse called and said I need to redo the test to be fitted. Since the first study suggested it. She said insurance won't approve surgery since it's documented I have some apnea. She said I would have to be on it compliant at least 2 weeks or insurance won't apptove. She knows by previous patients. Just another delay! I was hoping to have surgery before the end of the year
  6. I am in Chicago as well! Well North Riverside. Surgery at Loyola. Hopefully in 2 months
  7. Saludos desde Chicago no tengo fecha para el operacion
  8. EGD went pretty smoothly. Now just getting drained after. Waiting for results

  11. Had my first appointment yesterday. So much to do. Hopefully surgery by the end of the year. Surgeon said bypass is best for me. Need an EGD, EKG, mammogram, pap, sleep study, blood work and then wait for insurance

  13. Not sure if they are. I will research that. Thanks. My insurance finally approved and I want to get it done asap
  14. Anyone in the Chicago area who had surgery or going to have surgery? I am going to be at Loyola hospital. I am scheduled to meet the bariatrician and the surgeon on Tuesday. Anyone familiar with that program? I am 41 and have been struggling with weight all my life. My highest weight is currently 290.
  15. Or getting on the bus and having to walk side ways and still say excuse me when you rub or knock something out of someone hands
  16. Mizzpuddinpie. Were are you having your surgery?
  17. Can't wait to say good bye to seat sweat. Always scared to sit in a plastic seat and be the first to get up and know it looks like you peed. Will hopefully miss putting tissue between the girls because they were smooshed. Looking for the seat that does not have arms that will rub my thighs. Wearing short sleeves and having to push the side boobs back in. The push up bra that cuts into your skin. Someone said this. Not having to wear a splash guard every day even when is not that time of the month. Not having to worry about going shopping with friends and nothing in their store doesn't fit.
  18. Going to meet the surgeon July 21. No dates set yet. My first appointment. See the psychologist in October. Hopefully right after. Before end of year i hope
  19. I tried to get approved years ago with BCBS. When I called for an update weeks later was told I was denied. Right after my bday this year. May 25. I went to the doc and she asked if I wanted surgery. I said let's try see what they say. This time They called ME! I was finally approved. First appointment July 21. No diet requirements. Excited scared nervous. Anyone near Chicago go to Loyola? How was it?
  20. I am near chicago. I am just starting my journey. Tried a few years ago instance denied. Finally approved! First appointment July 21
