  2. I'm in the same boat as you. Down 65lbs and I'm starting to run out of things to wear. Before surgery I broke into the 3X zone but fortunately I kept my 2X stuff. Now I'm fitting 1X so I got a few new items on clearance but I know more than likely I'll be at the thrift store too. But man it actually feels good to shopping again.
  3. I'm just a little older than you (like twice your age????), but I feel if your really considering this learn as much as you can about it. Primarily for your own peace of mind. I'm only a month and a half into this journey and the changes in my life have gone beyond just the weight loss. In my opinion it truly gives you a second chance of getting this health thing right. Mind body and soul. This site is really a great resource. The topics, the people, and the support you get here will help you immensely. If you're looking for a doctor check with some of the people here that stay in your neck of the woods. And once you find one ask as many questions as you need to. This is a big decision but a decision I do not think you'll regret. Good luck and I hope everything goes well no matter what decision you make.
  4. Yesterday was my 1 month mark so today I decided to try popcorn my wife brought back from the movies. This is the first thing I've eaten that hasn't sat on my chest while eating. I usually take a small amount of something wait, wait and wait then another small amount. With the popcorn I eat it like normal. I like this, but all things in moderation.

  7. Congrats y'all. My op is tomorrow too and my wife gave me a "honey-do-list" of things to do today before I'm out of commission. But it actually helped keep my mind off of things.
