  2. Hello! I live in New York also and wanted to go to Dr. Garber for the reshape balloon. Could you tell me the cost he quoted you?
  3. Can anyone refer me to a gastroenterologist for a hiatal hernia in NY . I need to get an Upper GI for insurance purposes.
  4. Thank you for two great answers, I think self pay is going to be the best option and getting my insurance to pay for all of the testing. Did you find you can get the surgery much easier through self pay? I'm in New York and I've been having trouble finding a doctor that is reasonable.
  5. Hello, I recently got a job with Aetna insurance, I didn't have insurance before but was bummed when I found out there is no bariatric coverage. I have a BMI of 39 and really want to get the surgery soon. Is there any way to get insurance to partially cover the surgery? And does anyone know a really helpful surgeon in either NYC or Long Island that will work with me? Thank you in advance!
  6. Hello All! I am looking to find a surgeon in the US who has affordable self-pay packages for the gastric sleeve, I am not opposed to going to Mexico however at this time it is not an option for me. Here is a little background on me, I am 21 and weigh 265 stand 5'8, as a college student affordability plays a huge factor in where I get my surgery. I am willing to travel anywhere in the U.S as long as the doctor is reputable. Since this is such a large community I was hoping someone who went through a similar journey can push me in the direction of a doctor they have either been to, or heard of. Thank you so much!
