  1. Ain't no since in hatin'! If I was hungry, I'd try some tuna, and I ain't no MD.
  2. My dear fellow pre-op cheater, I couldn't stay on the liquid diet either. My pre surgery weight was 446. So if I could stick to diets I wouldn't have had the band! I did some research and the over all deal is high Protein and low carb and low fat. That diet yielded me loosing 16 lbs in 7 days. If you need to eat a little, eat A little I say, but Heck, I'm no doctor. I was worried cause I cheated, but I still lost. Good luck.
  3. I think it seems to be normal that there is no restriction...I don't eat as much as I normally do, not even close, but there seems to be little restriction.
  4. I feel the best today that I have since I woke up groaning in recovery. First two days was really bad for me anyway. I am healing good. Incisions are itchy and tender. Really bad hunger today that broth can't keep away. This pouch is restricting NOTHING. Of course, I understand that may be a norm for some. I can't wait until my first fill. I like the idea of, I can't, verses the idea of, you have to stick to a diet. Diets didn't work, thats why I am here...right. Anyway, time will tell.
  5. My doc did insist on a pre-op diet. His was totally liquid and was accross the board. There were 18 of us having it in one week there at the hospital. M FM BMI 30 or BMI 60, it was solid liqid diet for 1 week. I read where othere clinics use atkins and that led to me cheating a little off the liquids, but i still lost 16 lbs.
  6. O.K. Gang...I was banded on 12-18. Weight at 446 pre-op, liquid diet day of surgery 430. That week was tough. The first few days I didn't eat much, I couldn't, but yesterday and today I'm just starvin. Has anyone else experienced this? If I had the wilLpower to stay true to diets, I'd have just dieted. Now my question is this, does the size band matter? My doc said he put the large band in me. I don't know if mypouchis holding anything. I've experienced a lot of nausea, and gas. My sister lost 300# and is still loosing from surgery 2 years ago. So why am I hungry? Any comments?
