I am a happily married 54-year-old man with four children, one grandson and a granddaughter due in June.

Last fall I finally decided to check into weight loss surgery. I had may reasons for this, but the main driver was my family.  I love them all very much and I didn't want to leave them any time soon.

I started the required six-month pre-op requirements shortly after this and began preparing for the surgery.

My passions are my God, my Family and my bicycle;)

I began cycling about two years ago and found that I love it more now than I did when it was my only mode of transportation 40-years ago.  I am definitely looking forward to spending a longer life with my family, but I am also looking forward to be able to go further and further on my bicycle.

Last year when I was in "top shape" I went 30-miles.  My goal for this year is to make 50 before the snow begins to fall and I am hoping to get a century ride in next Summer.
