NOT HAPPY
Week 4 today. So I feel great, walking a lot, get my protein and water in and can start ground turkey and chicken this week. Everything has been going great until I started having severe pain in right calf. Leg swollen - checked for blood clots - negative. Went to Orthopedist yesterday have to have MRI could be hair line fracture due to going from little exercise to full blown exercise. He said bones not getting enough recovery time. Soooooo NO EXERCISE at all. What am I going to do? This stinks!

PAIN! Advise please!

1 WEEK POST SURGERY CHECKUP
Holy Smokes had my first check up since surgery last Wednesday and I lost 8 pounds. WOOOOOO HOOOO Things going well. Have not taken a pain med since Saturday and that was for the headache from hell. Getting drinks down easier now (thanks everyone for your comments and advice) Walking and my legs HATE ME because they have not seen that much exercise in a looooooong time. I was doing the recumbent bike because of my bad knees for 30 minutes before surgery but feels good with 70 degree Fall weather to be able to get my butt out the door and walk around my street. Have not really had a BM - doctor told me to try Colace. Anyone else have that problem?? I have been keeping a journal through this whole thing with inspirational pictures/quotes filled into it I have taken off of Pinterest and the internet. Finally feel like I can conquer my weight issues after so many years of trying things that did not work.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
My knees are shot to hell thanks to my years as a figure skater - BUT they are much worse now due to the excess weight on them. Climbing stairs is a chore. Being out of breath doing simple things. Sweating while doing groceries I do not want to embarrass my son at his college graduation next year I want to be here for grandkids (many years from now my sons are 21 & 24) Feeling better about myself I NEED TO BE HEALTHY!!

Beginning Stages
Hi, I am just in the beginning of the process to have the sleeve surgery. I have met with Nurse Practitioner, Dietitian, tomorrow I go to PT to meet with them, back to nurse on Thursday. Lost 5 pounds need to lose 20 before I meet the doctor and have surgery. Have not met with Psychologist yet or started his classes (have to attend five) Looking to see if anyone can offer advice or words of wisdom to help get ready for all of this. NEED to get surgery - sick of how I feel, how I look, knee pains and I want to be more active. Any advice you can give I am ready for it.
