    June 2015 sleevers

Looking for an accountability partner. I was sleeved June 3, 2015 and only down 80 lbs. I've been eating all the wrong things. Not enough protein or water or exercise (ok none). I do well with competitions and sternness:) let me know if u r interested.
  2. I've been a bit concerned. My incisions are red around them and they itch like crazy!!! Temp is 99.5. No leakage. Why do they itch so bad? And what can I do?

    June 2015 sleevers

I was sleeved June 3...so almost 2 months now. I still have trouble getting in all my liquids. They released me to eat some veggies, but after the protein. I never have room after the protein. I feel like I'm just drinking and eating protein. Any advice?

    June 2015 sleevers

I am 40, and I was sleeved June 3, 2015. I'm only 5'3" and started out at 366 pounds. After a few stalls, today I reached 60 pounds off total. I feel so much better. My insomnia and migraines I have had most my life are gone. I wanted to be healthier for my kids and myself. I have found the strength to leave my cheating alcoholic husband, and I'm ready to live my next 40 years to the fullest!

    June 2015 sleevers

My doctor requires 60 g of protein daily. My two favorite things in my little world are baby bel light cheeses and the grilled chickfila nuggets. I can only eat 4 nuggets right now, but I buy 2 twelve packs and eat them over a few days. They are even great warmed up. I don't even drink protein drinks anymore.

    June 2015 sleevers

I was sleeved June 3. I've lost 50lbs since my pre-op diet started. At three weeks my weight loss stalled. Then I lost about 5 more pounds. Now I have stalled again. I'm staying the course, but I would like to see more coming off. Getting water and protein in is a full time job. Exercising takes even more time. I'm relying on the testimony of others that more will come off.

Day 6 post op itchy red incisions

I had a huge bruise where they were giving me blood thinner shots in my stomach. The bruise was still there a month later
  8. My family revolves around food. We cook it, read about it, and talk about it. I was sleeved June 3, 2015. The hardest part so far is being left out. My family doesn't know what to talk about when I'm around. They fix the most beautiful meals. I have to go in the other room while they eat and laugh and talk. They feel awkward, and I feel sad. I don't know how to interact with them and I hate feeling left out.
  9. I didn't lose anything for almost 2weeks and I was so frustrated, but they told me to stay the course. I did, and yesterday the pounds began coming off again. Keep hope alive and trust your doctor.
  10. 1 month since surgery and I still have a small spot not healed. Is that normal?
  11. No carbonated beverages at all forever even if flat is for my sleeve. They have other reasons beside stretchy. Those reasons include stomach bleeding.

    Spot still not healed

Went to nurse today. She said it is a tiny superficial spot that is slower to eat because my pants run there. She said don't even worry about it
  13. I'm 1 month out from sleeve surgery. I have no idea how much I should be eating or how many calories. I'm getting in all my protein and fluids, but yesterday I counted up my calories and they equalled almost 600. I'm currently at the 3-4 week stall so any help is appreciated.
  14. 1 month after surgery and I still have a little spot not healed. Is that normal?
  15. My doctor said no carbonated beverages ever again. Not even if they are flat.
  16. I've been doing so well since surgery. Then I look at the scale and it hasn't moved in almost a week. I'm drinking and getting in my protein. What else can a person do?

    3 weeks post-op weight stall

Yes, I'm day 13 and lost 20lbs. Now, I'm stalled. According to the previous writers, it is normal. I just have to concentrate on staying strong and keep on keeping on.
  18. I'm 3 weeks post and I've been afraid to exercise much. Will jogging shake something loose? How much exercise is okay? What isn't okay?

    3 weeks post-op weight stall

Wow, the article was really helpful. Thank you.
  20. Still waiting for the rest of the glue to fall off. I had found out after surgery I was allergic to the glue. Benadryl and cortisone cream have been my friends. It is still a battle everyday to get in all my protein and liquid and pills. Overall, I loved my surgeon, hospital, and nurses. I haven't had any pain or nausea...just itching which is much better. This Wednesday will mark one month since my two week liquid diet and two weeks after surgery. I have gone from 366 to 328, so I am happy.
  21. They said it would continue until glue falls off...then it would clear up. It would be great if I could Benadryl and sleep 24/7, but I can't.
  22. How long does it take to heal up. I had my sleeve done on June 3...please tell me the glue falls off soon and how long to heal (not itch) after that?
  23. They said I was allergic to surgical glue as well. The itchy is horrible. The red around the incisions in two spots are bigger around than my palm and whelped up. Hard for me to believe this is an allergy.

Day 6 post op itchy red incisions

Oh my gosh same here. I went to dr today convinced I had an infection. Incisions are bright red and one is so swollen looks like a mole hill. They said I was allergic to surgical glue. Nothing to do but Benadryl, hydrocortisone, and wait for the glue to fall off. I've never itched so bad!!!
