My next appointment with the Dr is the 23rd of this month. I feel like everything is going in slow motion but at the same time really fast. I am nervous and excited but so glad that I found this site and that I am not in it alone.

Hi! I just started my journey and I am looking forward to chatting with those of you who are on a similar time-frame as myself. My insurance is Cigna so they require a 3 month supervised diet, psych eval and sign off from my primary (which I am worried about, I haven't seen him in 5 years so what if he wont sign off? should I find someone new? suggestions?) I am aiming for an early September surgery date, my Dr. said it is doable! I am excited and nervous. I have learned so much already from reading about everyone else's experience it has really helped to calm me down. I feel like I am obsessed with this and it's all I can think about. I have probably watched 200 youtube videos so far. LOL Any tips, tricks or advice is welcome and appreciated! Thanks in advance!

@@jane13 I will be having surgery at Sebastian River Medical. I can't wait for these 3 months to go by already!! That is great that your recovery has been good so far! I hope that I am as fortunate.

My biggest gripe is animal prints. Why does the plus sized clothing industry think that I want to look like an oversized leopard or zebra???

I am new too, hoping for an early September date. As for the guilt and negativity just let it roll over you. You and only you know why you are choosing this and it is not up to any one else to judge. I don't think that you have any reason to feel guilty. Hang in there!

I just started the process as well. I already did the seminar, met my surgeon last Friday and starting to schedule all the obligatory Dr. appointments to appease Cigna. Hoping for an early September surgery date (holiday weekend). It still doesn't seem real that it is even going to happen. I wish you all the best of luck on your journey. Hi everyone! I am new to the site and just took the first few steps last Friday in what I know will be a long journey. I met my surgeon Dr. Radecke who I absolutely adore and we are aiming for an early September surgery (VSG). I know I still have some bumps to overcome (meeting my insurance deductible in 3 months would be one of them? can I pull it off?? LOL!! I will be going to every freaking Dr. I can think of between now and then). I told my son on Saturday, he's 10 and I am so incredibly proud of how he responded and is being very supportive. I did also want to say thank you in advance for all the posts I have read so far. Everyone has something to offer and I have learned so much already! That's it for now, I just didn't want to be a post troll.
