  2. I am 62 and there aren't many surgeons who like to do it after age 60. But I look much younger according to all the people who meet me. But I had to look around to find someone who would do it at my age. I am glad I did it.. My BMI was not very high, but I had to be on 3 blood pressure medicines. Now only 2 days after my sleeve, I am off 2 of the 3. The doctor thinks I can get off the third one within a month. Those medicines were hurting my kidney function, so I am very happy about getting rid of them.
  3. You will be glad you did it. Good practice for post surgery and also according to my surgeon it helps your liver get to a reasonable size and keeps it from hanging over the place where they cut. You will also lose weight, so enjoy.
  4. You sound like my twin also 5'3 And 200 pounds. got down to 186. Pre op. I am in the hospital now and everything went great. Dr Kolasch is my doctor and he is in the Matthews office of SE Bariatrics. The drop down menu on this site took me back up so many times I coulD Not put his name on he is great and at one time was serving our country as a trauma surgeon in Afghanistan. I will keep you posted as to my weight loss and journey, but I am hopeful. I even geT off 2 of the 3 blood pressure medicines today and the third within a month. Yeah, because they were starting to hurt my kidney function
