My husband and I both are just beginning the weight loss surgery journey.  We start our 6mo diet program on Monday (5/18/15) and we should have the sleeve done by then end of the year or first of next year hopefully.  I'm excited but also scared to death.
 
I lost 100 lbs 5 yrs ago by counting calories but I put most of it back on.  Then last year I lost 75lbs on Nutrisystem but stalled out and now I've put about 5lbs back on.  Nothing seems to work long term.  I have always thought about having weight loss surgery but worried about something going wrong.  My youngest daughter is medically fragile and severely disabled.  I am her main caregiver and I was always afraid the surgery would cause me to not be able to care for her any more.  However, now that I'm learning about the sleeve, I feel more confident and at 55 yrs old... I simply have to weigh the risks against not being able to take care of her bc of my weight.  And now I have 3 week old twin grandbabies who are my pride and joy.  Life is busy but it's time to take care of me.
