What a difference a year (and sleeve, diet and exercise) make. On my birthday last year, I weighed 274 (@ 5'7 tall), and my sizes were 54-56 chest/jacket; 50 waist; 3X t-shirts. After sleeve on June 2, 2015, I'm now 200 lbs and wear 44 chest/jacket; 38 waist, and XL men's t-shirts. And I'm still losing weight.
I started preop liquid diet on May 17 (@ 271 lbs); sleeved on June 2 (@ 257 lbs), and I'm currently 229 lbs. So 42 lb loss so far (28 lbs since surgery date).
Excited yesterday. Now tired and trying to get through this initial post op period as quickly as possible (trying to get enough fluids down, walking, and trying to pass gas).
I'm 5'7 man (age 46), (bmi 43 at start). 274 at 1st surgeon visit on 3/24/15. Lost 15 lbs on 2 week liquid diet (from 271 to 256).
In hospital waiting room. We'll seehow it goes when they call me back.
My surgery is June 2. I plan take off at least through the weekend (June 8), but will play it by ear thereafter. If I feel up to it, I'll go back to work/office on June 8. If not, I can stay home the week of June 8, but will keep my lap top with me. (I can do many aspects of my job from home).
