  3. I am sorry ladies. I too am walking around with a pillow in case I cough. I can't imagine having to throw up. Hang in there ladies.
  4. I agree ladies. My two c-section we're a piece compared to the VSG surgery. This surgery IS NOT the easy way out!
  5. I am sooooooo sorry. I can't imagine vomiting with type of surgery. I am glad your feeling better.
  6. I agree abbyrn27. I had my surgery in one of the hospitals I work in and my daughter was impressed how well we were taken care of.
  7. But the thing that has helped me the most is you guys! ♡♡♡ I feel like I am not alone. Or not doing it by myself! Thank you everyone!♡♡♡♡♡
  8. They gave me liquid Vicodin and Oxycodone. I also was given Flexril for spasms and Zofran for nausea. I am a RN so while I was in the hospital I made sure I got one a good pain regime before I left the hospital.
  9. abbyrn27 your right you need to stay on a good pain regime. That also has helped me.
  10. smcobos2 I am having trouble drinking water because of my hernia repair my doctor told me I am swollen more than usual but eating popciles will help. After I eat a popcile I have able to drink thinker liquids. I have been drinking also propel water, crystal light, diet snapple, and sugar free Jell-O.

  12. Yes that happened to me too. Don't be discouraged keep walking it will help move the gas. Also when I walked I tried taking deep breaths. When I was standing up and walking it allowed me expand my diaphragm making it easier to take deep breaths. Doing this and using the incentive spirometry helps prevent pneumonia.
  13. That's great! Everyday it gets easier and everyday we have new challenges. But we can do this. We have come this far we can't give up.
  14. Hang in there smcobos2. You can do this. I walked a lot and help me get the gas out and kept my off the pain and what I couldn't do.
  15. smcobos2 yes it is normal. I am taking really small sips. I had a really large hernia that had to be repaired. The hernia is right below and between my breast. So I have to very small sips. Popciles were my lifesavers.
  16. My doctor did the vgs and repaired my hiatal hernia. He said my hernia was one of the largest he has seen. Him fixing my hernia made my stomach flattened significant.

  18. Had my surgery yesterday at 1030 am and I was home by 3pm today. I was walking last night and this morning 15-20 minutes multiple times. I am feeling great!
