  1. I initially took 4 weeks off... the day before i was set to go back to work i had to go back to my doctor because i was having terrible pain near the incision where they removed my stomach. We were all under the assumption it was an incisional hernia but thank God it was not!! Apparently just a pulled muscle. I was given an additional 2 weeks for a total of 6 But i suggest you take at least 3 of course IF you can. Not only are you physically drained but you are also on an emotional roller coaster!! Your food intake is all screwy and your body and mind don't really know what to make of it. You may also be very physically tired until you can get some more solid food in you. I think one week just inst enough for you to recover from the surgery it's self. Just FYI i'm 8 weeks out now, 34 lbs lighter and feel 100% amazing!! Good luck to you!!!
