  1. Hi everyone I'm officially just over 2 weeks postop and things have been going well so far. I haven't had any complications and haven't experienced any vomiting or dumping yet (knock on wood). I definitely think the biggest struggle is grieving all of the emotional and societal attachments to food. Going to dinner with family or friends, or even making dinner with them at home and sitting down and eating a meal without feeling super self cautious about eating one tiny bite every few minutes. Its funny because my feelings of regret (I'm sure we all have them some days) come from wishing i had really cracked down and ate small healthy portions of food and exercised my butt off so i didn't need surgery but i know this was my best option. Now all i want to do is eat some carrots and a chicken caesar salad and i can't which seems very strange. But the last few days the biggest thing I'm missing which is extremely hard to wrap my mind around is wanting to chug a big glass of cold water!! I mean pour a glass of Water and just drink it! ahhhh refreshed, but no no have to just sip away so i don't get sick. Basically what I'm saying is i want to do so many healthy things now that i can't do because I'm trying to get healthy, seems odd, anyone else know what I'm saying or how I'm feeling?
