    observastions 1 week post op

Hi , I am one week post sleeved also. I was wondering would you mind telling me what you are drinking in a day? I think I may be drinking to much. I can drink Water very easily then I will have some Protein shake maybe 1/2 cup and then wait and have the rest of the shake. I really think I could just drink it right down but I try to make it last about 15 min. Then I will have some strained low-fat soup 1/2 cup again but I feel like I could drink the whole can in about 15 min. Are you feeling full with what you are drinking? The binder I am going by says 1/4 cup Protein Shake but it just not enough are you able to drink 1/2 or more with each small meal? Thank you
  3. Hello Everyone, Thanks for the help. I am the full liquid phase for this week and next so it will help to drink the isopure and get some Protein in I am sending my daughter to get the apple flavor .I don't really care for the punch. Thank so much
  4. Hi Everyone, So I did it!! I had the band removed and a sleeve done at the same time. Its a good thing I did, The surgeon said that I did really well on the surgery, but my liver and band had grown together and he had to scrape the band out of my liver and when there was bleeding. I never would of thought 5 years ago that a band would grow together with my liver ! I am feeling really well to day I hope the sleeve will work and I will lose some weight ! Today is my first day home and I was able to get the 40oz of Water in. My question is I have a case of Isopure zero carb Protein drink punch. 160 calories for 20oz of liquid. Would you consider it a liquid or a small meal like a Protein shake? I didn't want to sip it all day and stretch out my sleeve .But if its a clear liquid it would be a good way to get some protein in. I only got 20 grams of protein today. It took all day to get the 40 oz. of water. Do you happen to know of a tasteless Protein powder I could add to some Soup? or a good protein soup I could order, that doesn't taste horrible? I ordered atira unflavored and it is un useable.. If you know any answers to my questions I would love to her from you! Thank you
  5. Hello fellow sleevers! So I did it I had the realize band removed and a sleeve done at the same time. I am so glad I got the band removed. I guess my liver had grown into the band and my surgeon had to kind of scrape it out to remove it .Its sounds really awful so I am so glad it is gone forever! I hade to spend a few extra days in the hospital because I was having some trouble with the fluids trying to get them in, but I have to say it was a very easy surgery. So what I am wondering is I have this Protein drink called Isopure zero carb. Its does have 160 calories for 20 oz. 40 grams of protein for the whole bottle. Would you consider this drink a clear liquid? If I could drink the whole 20oz through out the day would I count it as a small meal or meals? Or would it be count as clear liquid?(water) I am trying to get in 40oz of clear liquid day , and 60 grams of protein a day. I am hoping To get all my protein and water in I just don't want to over stretch my sleeve with this Isopure drink by sipping it all day its a meal? Does any one happen to know the answer ??? Does any one know of a good tasting unflaverd Protein powder I could add to some Soup? The one I got is really bad. Thanks for you help!
  6. Thank you for the feed back! That is what I was hoping both Protein and liquied. I am going to get some of the isopure protein powder. This is my first day home, so thanks for any tricks you have that will help get me in all the nutrients and what makes it easier to do this healing process. Thank you
  7. Hi , yes I posted it on the sleeve forum also . But thank you for letting me know. I can see through it. So I will start counting it as a clear liquid and try to get some more Protein in. Thank you so much
  8. Hi everyone, I am having the sleeve surgery tomorrow and my old band taken out. I am praying that weight loss surgery will work for me this time. I wish I could do it on my own but looking back I realize all I do is struggle with my weight. I really need some help. I hope its all that I think it will be. If you have a moment to share your success stories with me I would love to hear from you. I am so anxious .I am not sure I will be able to sleep tonight. I feel very racy and loss of concentration. So What are you eating? How are you feeling? Are you so happy you did it? How was your recovery? DO you really not feel as hungry? My biggest fear is I will have the surgery and I will be starving and not be able to eat because of the size of my stomach. Any words of wisdom? Thank you all so much reading your post have given me courage that I need to go threw with it.

  11. Hello Everyone, I cant really believe this going to happen tomorrow .I am having my band removed. I had it done in 2010, I have not had any fluids in it for over a year because I really didn't think it worked so what was the point of keeping if filled. I was still hungry and when I did the food would come back up. Out with the old and in with the new. I am getting the sleeve done tomorrow at 9:30. I have been reading the post witch have helped me so much to keep going on this all liquid fast. Today is the 7th day ,wow I am so hungry but I did it and I hope my liver did shrink for surgery. I know I really need this surgery .The thought that I can stick to a healthy eating plan and not be starving and thinking about food and being full sounds like its unreal. I was hoping you would tell me after you recovered is day to day life for you and eating? What do you eat on a daily basis? Are you hungry? Does your stomach feel the same but you can just not eat as much? Is the sleeve really make you fell full??? I have read that almost everyone has no regret's I hope I will be one of you saying the same thing! Thanks for you feed back and wish me luck. God Bless
  12. Thank you for letting me know about your surgery ! I am ready even though I know tomorrow I will propyl feel a lot of anxiety . Today I feel like I cant keep my mind on one thing and have lots of anxiety. I will be glad when its done and I can stop thinking about it. Thanks for your encouragement !
  13. Hello Everyone, I just got my revised surgery date (yea) its going to be on April 27th. The doctor is taking out my band and making a sleeve in one surgery. I have a high BMI 50. I am 53 years old and praying for success this time. I have so many questions. Like does the sleeve make you feel full when you eat? Does food get stuck and you have to vomit when you eat the wrong thing our eat to fast? I always if felt like I could eat more with the band but made my self stop. What do you eat on a average day after you have recovered? What does your stomach feel like now after surgery? Does it feel like your normal stomach did before your surgery? If you have any thing you would like to share about yourself and your journey with the sleeve surgery I would love to here about it. Thank you so much!
