  1. Forgot to mention that I had an antibiotic shot
  2. Having my surgery on Tuesday. On the flight over to Mexico, 2 days ago, I felt like I was going to die! Ended up going to the closest doctor as soon as I arrived and well, I had some intestinal infection. Worse than any stomach virus I had ever experienced. It's was horrific and I was absolutely miserable. It was even more difficult because of the language barrier. My thoughts are, is it okay for my body to undergo surgery after being this ill? And, what type of risk does that put me at complication-wise?244lbs before starting my preop diet.
  3. Phew thanks guys! That helps with my anxiety about it )
  4. I'm not telling any of my family or friends about my surgery. My husband does know. At first he didn't think the surgery was necessary, but as time went on and I explained how my life has been effected, he realized just how depressed I've been and is now supportive of my decision. The reason I'm not telling my family is that they are VERY judgmental. I have always been kind of the outcast and I don't want this to be another reason for them to set me apart even further. I am just wondering what to say to people when they start noticing the rapid weight loss. I am not an attention-seeker, and I am dreading all the questions I'm going to get when I walk into a room. I have started to tell some of them that I've been on a diet and walking, but will that be enough?!!
  5. Here's my diet: liquid diet: * Water * juice sugar free * Jello sugar free * Yogurt (natural or flavor) * Bouillon or clear broth (chicken, meat, vegetables, miso Soup, etc it has to be clear, just the broth) * Cream Soups made with non fat milk * Popcicles * Protein shakes 2 a day ( morning and night) Also, She says I can have yogurt, but yogurt has a lot of carbs so I am a little bit confused on that.
  6. I am really wanting some coffee, does anyone know if I can have a cup a day?
  7. Yogurt is only my list from my surgeon, but I don't know how...it has so many carbs!
  8. If you don't mind me asking, who did you get to do your fills in Louisiana? I too am having my sx in Mexico and looking for an aftercare doctor. TIA!
  9. Thank y'all! And wow 55lbs, 7 weeks out is INCREDIBLE! Great job! I am having the VSG done. Going alone to Mexico so that is a little nerve racking. My coordinator has been so helpful so that has definitely helped me a lot. I am from Louisiana. My plans after surgery are to have more energy to do more fun things with my kids....I have a 1 year-old and a 7 year-old. I also REALLY want to become runner. It's so hard for me to run at 244lbs and I just can't wait for that to change. How were things post-op for y'all...when did the pain subside?
  10. Hey guys! New to this website! Having my surgery in a few weeks in MX and a little nervous.
