    Day 8

You will soon find out that you cannot "wail" on anything solid. Follow the instructions, or pay the price. Good luck.

    One month post op

Agreed, we all react different. I was sleeved on April 30, and am down 38 lbs since going liquid on 4/28. I have 2-3 Protein shakes each day which really helps to get to 90gm of protein, and meet my h2o goals. SW 319. Surgery 314, CW 281. Thrilled for the start!

    Surgery day

You will see your toes soon enough. Follow your surgeons instructions to the letter, and this will be the best thing you ever did for yourself!
  4. Stalls are part of the process. I got my sleeve 4/30/15. No stalls yet, but I know they are coming. This is a lifelong journey were on, and our bodies need time periodically to adjust. I suggest not weighing yourself every day, but paying close attention to following your nutrition, hydration, and exercise. Hang in there....

    Insurance denied me :/

So I also have united healthcare california PPO . They denied me too so I self paid and was sleeved 4/30. Any chance I could get them to reimburse me. I think in actuality they should have covered me. I was 43 BMI, HBP, sleep apnea, CPAp user since '06. Fought weight whole life. Age 53 . On the good side, very easy time so far. Still on full liquids, but getting all my Water in and 90g of Protein. Went to work 3 days after surgery. Being careful , not working full days. No gas pains, no diarrhea, no puking, foam. Oh yeah, down 20.5 lbs

    Goodbye 300s!

Tomorrow morning will hopefully be the day for me...
  7. My doctor only requires the liquid diet starting 48-72 hours before surgery. What types of liquids are best. What type of Protein supplement is best, and does the same kind work for pre and post op?
  8. I am about to be sleeved on April 16th. I have gone totally inward the past couple years as I have gotten bigger and bigger. I have been Di miserable, that I have stopped going out in public unless absolutely necessary. My misery has rubbed off on my family as I am sometimes very short tempered with them. Would love to hear from those who know how your mental outlook and relationships changed post op
