My surgery date is the 15th also. I'm so excited. Everything is falling into place. I finally feel like I'm going to be able to live my life instead of existing in it. I have a lot of support from friends and family, My church and people at work.

My pre op is Thursday

So many wonderful people here. I have learned so much.

Oh and Im also set for June 15th. I start the protein shakes this monday. my BMI is 43

I told the people at work , church and family. I want a strong support system. I believe it will make a big difference with my progress.

I'm getting sleeved on june 15th. I don't know if i'm excited or scared. Maybe a little of both.

People that insult other people for losing weight with surgery don't know what it's like to have some kind of a disease that that overpowers them they don't understand how anybody can be as big as we are. Just laugh at them all the way to the gym. Be proud you have the guts to stand up and do something about your health. what are they doing for themselves? nothing. they're trying to feel better by making fun of you. know you're better off than they are.

I can't keep my mind off it when I'm trying to go to sleep. I don't think i've had a good nights sleep since April 23.

I'm starting to feel as though if the insurance company was going to approve the surgery I would have heard something by now.

I have Meritain Its part of blue cross blue shield

Still waiting for insurance company. I called today and I have to wait longer. Told me to call back in another week.

Well still haven't heard from the insurance company. I'm so impatient and excited to hear something.

I'm waiting on the insurance company to say yes for my surgery. I'm Staying positive. I have Meritain insurance and they have you jumping through hoops so I'm just praying that everything is going to be OK. I'm going through the bridges center in Tempe Az. and they told me you're probably be about 10 days before I would hear anything. Then I talked to my insurance company and they said that it had been turned into the 28th so it could be anywhere from 15 to 30 days to hear something. I just hope I hear something soon because I'll have to pay another deductible in July. Wish me luck.

I have Meritain Insurance and all the paperwork is being submitted. Has anyone in Arizona have the buy up plan. What was your out come ? I'm. Trying for the gastric sleeve.

I am exactly where you are. I go in for my 6 month on 4/8/2015. I pray I get approved. My BMI is 45 I have asthma and I'm diabetic. I never thought it would be so stressful.
