  1. Hi there! I am new to this board but wanted to say that I am having my surgery on March 14th also! Woohoo! 3 weeks to go!
  2. Hello everyone, I've enjoyed reading your posts so much, I figured I better introduce myself. (I've been lurking!). I am 30 yrs old, I live just outside Charlotte, NC. I've been overweight pretty much since I hit puberty. I was finally dx. with PCOS and hypothyroid in 2004. I'm taking metformin and levoxyl but I still can't get this darn weight off! I lost 30 lbs 2 years ago and it slowly came back on. I am pretty much at my highest now (255 give or take lol). I have a BMI of 45 or so. I also am dealing with high BP which I also take medication for. My main goal is to get healthy. I also am striving to be able to get pregnant which we have struggled with for about 6 years and 4 miscarriages. I started this journey on 10/22/07. I have all the pre-op appts done and my packet was faxed to UHC yesterday. So I guess now I wait! I am hoping to have the lap band in March if not sooner! I am so ready! I look forward to "meeting" all of you.
