  1. Hi all. I had my sleeve on 3/24. To start off the week before my surgery was scheduled I was let go from my job. So while I'm trying to get my head in the game and prep for the surgery I had to fill out unemployment paperwork and try to get health insurance for anything I needed post surgery. So with all that stress I still had my surgery. My surgeon was awesome! This was only my second surgery ever and I really didn't know how anesthesia would effect me. The first day I was so drugged up that I had to apologize to friends and family for falling asleep on them when they came to visit. Then the next day hit, very nauseated and had a few dry heaves. I also was unable to pee so they put a Foley catheter in. Embarrassing much! They also kept me a second night just because I wasn't able to get enough fluids in. After they figured out what meds worked best for me they took the catheter out and I was able to get fluids down. Now a couple days later I'm doing good. I do burp after every sip but I've read this is normal. Water water water is my motto and tea is heaven! I even had tomato soup today (which I used to despise) and it was so good. I can't do jello it makes me want to gag when I try to eat it. I've taken to using shot glasses to measure out my protein shakes and soups so I don't overdo anything.
