  1. I am nearing 2 weeks since I got my sleeve. I was on a two week liquid protein diet prior to surgery. I was so happy after my surgery I figured I would be able to eat food again. Well I can eat food but I feel sick every time I eat something. It is a turn off and I have found myself just not eating. Does everyone have this issue. When does it get easier to eat? Monday I start more solid food and I can't even imagine what that will be like if I can hardly stand soft foods.
  2. Just the queasy feeling and fullness from one or two small bites. I when been militant on my drinking to be sure I stay hydrated it's tough for me because I would gulp down water by the bottle before. I am so anxiously awaiting a time when I can look at food and not be scared of wether or not I will be feeling sick from eating it. I think eating the same things over and over the first two weeks might be mental problem for me as well.
  3. Awesome post I can totally relate to all the things that changed for you. I'm happy for you and can't wait to be there too.
  4. I got the gastric sleeve. I am feeling good been up and around the past two days. Think I over did it a little. I hope to be back to work in a few days. Physical pain from the surgery is mainly from the incisions made. Been eating very little. It's a job eating and drinking what you need to because it's all done so slow. I should have done it a year ago.

    Third time is the charm!

I just got my Sleeve done on Monday morning. I came home Wednesday afternoon and have zero issues. I too had planned and started through the process about 8 months ago of getting the sleeve and chickened out. I was a day away from liquid diet (8months ago) and let negative advice change my mind. I said to myself I could change and lose it the old fashioned way diet and exercise. Well 7 months later I was about as big as I had ever been and said I need to fix this before I die. I made an appointment to see my doctor again discussed my issues and made the surgery date that day. I did a two week liquid diet which was very hard for me. I made sure to focus on the goal and the positive things that this surgery brings. During my last weeks before surgery. I looked at peoples stories here and looked at before and after pics. If we could have fixed our disease on our own we would have by now. Eating isn't amazing at first but I am not hungry what so ever. This is the best move I have ever made and I am so happy and excited for the future. My recommendation to you is do it and do it ASAP. Good luck.
  6. Just had my surgery Monday. I went with Shillingford. My friend used Dr. Wizman 3 weeks earlier and liked him as well. I had no issues and found the process and staff great. I am 4 days post op and doing well. I am happy with my choice good luck.
