  1. Hey PinkLady, As you can see I'm now a little over three plus years out and Dr Clark was my surgeon. You couldn't ask for a better surgeon. He is great. And so is his asst. (if you haven't met her yet you will because she does all the fills). Infact I go see them today. You have nothing to worry about. Good Luck Jodi
  2. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jodi and I live in NW Indiana in a tiny town called Crawfordsville. Was banded Aug 31 2005. Have lost a total of 167 lbs. Currently weighing in @ 160 lbs. Passed my doctors goal of 165. My lowest weight was 148 before I became pregnant with my 2nd son, giving birth this past September. Dr Clark in Indianapolis was my surgeon. I have a 4 cc band with a current fill of 1.8cc's which seems to be my current sweet spot. Looking forward to corresponding and getting to know everyone here.
  3. Good Day Every! My Name is Jodi. I was banded Aug 31 2005. I lost 167 lbs before becoming pregnant 16 months post op. I currently have only 15 lbs more to loose to get back to my pre pregnancy post banded weight after having my son in late September. I orignally joined this site a long time ago but when I found out I was pregnant that kinda over took my life, so I'm really looking forward to becoming a more active member and working my band.

Medicare paid 80% of the surgery cost - 75% of pre op requirements - 90% of post op care (including fills even under fluro). Because I also have medicaid, they paid the remainder of the bill/costs.

I have Medicare and state Medicaid. I was approved for surgery in less then a month. Medicare at this point has no prequalifications for approval. However there are very little doctors that will do the surgery with this insurance because they only get paid the very mininum for this procedure, so they will tell you Medicare doesn't cover. But it does.
  6. Hello All, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jodi and I will be having the lapband Aug 31st (tomorrow). My doctor is Dr Steven Clark from the St Francis Bariatric Center/St Francis Hospital Beech Grove Indiana. I'm looking forward to meeting follow bandsters and anticipate my "new" life to begin soon. I have declared September as my offical End of Summer Clearance Weight Month.
