  1. Does anyone know of a good place to get fills in Lincolnshire? I currently go to the Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. Not only is that over an hour's drive, but it's £270 ($500). Anywhere more convenient/cheaper? Thanks!
  2. I expect I'm gonna be in the same boat, Jack.
  3. I'm coming up to the two year mark, and I've lost a fair amount of weight so far (I've just added my pics to the before and after thread). However, can people of more than two years banded tell me what weight loss I might expect from now on (if any). Thanks for your time!
  4. This is a great thread... I've made three big mistakes... 1) Choc 2) o 3) late I would tell anyone (especially in the UK where candy is sweeter), the band doesn't work with sugary food. (thankfully, I don't indulge these days)
  5. I've notice I have started to cross my legs again now I'm a size 38 waist (down from a 50). (I've no idea what dress size I am).
  6. That's strange - I've been banded not much more than a year, and I can tolerate a slice of thin 'n' crispy pizza without too much trouble (of an evening). Maybe I could use a fill?
  7. It's a shame we can't all have an afternoon nap to "reset" our bands... Maybe I should suggest it to my boss... "I need a mid-afternoon nap to ensure good weight loss". Not sure he'd buy it, to be honest.
  8. I have the same problem, Kat. If only I had the same restriction in the evening as in the morning. I'm okay until about 7, maybe 7.30 at night, then it's "hello pizza!" (if I'm not strict with myself)
  9. Try one of the following replies... a) It's something new they're adding to pizza... The weight's just falling off me! Diet and exercise. Granted, option is slightly less believable.
  10. I want to know the answer to this, too... My nose never used to run when I was full, but it does now - is it just a build-up of mucus that would normally enter the stomach area, but is trapped?
  11. Wow! You look incredible!!! If that doesn't inspire the rest of this forum (including me), then nothing will! Well done, you!:grouphug:
  12. I've suffered from quite dramatic hair-loss since I was banded a year ago! I was very fond of my thick, curly locks and they seemed to vanish overnight. (see attached) :heh:
  13. True, I don't mind my bald noggin - it stops me having terrible haircuts.
  14. Well, not exactly, but I'm at a weight I haven't seen since the age of sixteen. Okay, I was a chubby kid, so I'm not at my ideal weight, but, it almost makes me feel sixteen again, but without the acne. (and without the hair, but you can't win 'em all). This evening, I may wear my old "Def Leppard" T-shirt and watch Dallas.
  15. I did self-pay, and I have to say, I haven't regretted it once. Ultimately, what you save on food bills more than pays for it.
