  1. I healed very quickly with no real problems. I feel good about the clinic although I had Dr Medlin. I think your in good hands.
  2. I was sleeved June 25th and am down 40 lbs since my preop appointment June 8th Kinda of wish it would come off faster so I have started moving more. I reached my 1st goal of having my weight in the 200's instead of 300's pretty pleased with that!
  3. so glad you are out. I had a bunch of shoulder pain too. It only Lasted a day for me. Have you been walking? Try to walk once you get up and walk nothing can stop you. Popsicles are a good idea too if you get sick of ice chips. Remember you've got this.
  4. I shared with my daughter. I told her the truth that I want to prolong and better my life so I can be more active with her and so I can help teach her how to make healthier choices And be a better role model. My daughter is 12 and an only child. She went with me to some dr appointments and was there before and after surgery with my husband. She helped me when I got home. I was told not to lift over 8 lbs the 1st week and not over 20 lbs the 1st month. My husband had to work out of town and she stepped right up to lift the pet food bags to feed the animals and to take out the trash she was a great help. I am down close to 40 lbs and she is down 4 lbs. We walk together And measure each other weekly and watch our progress. It a family event when my husband is home too we support each other. We all are getting healthier together.
  5. Okay today is a new day. I did very poorly on my food intake yesterday when I weighted in this morning a had a small loss but couldn't help to think if I ate better the loss would not have been so small. So I'm proving to myself today that I can do better! No sense beat myself up for it just realizing I can do better today and moving on! Have a great day everyone!!
  6. When I added food I stalled for a few days too. I noticed it helped that I got my water in. I understand your feelings tho.
  7. I love tomato soup!!❤️
  8. My choices weren't very good today either.
  9. OK I logged onto my fitness pal via computer and went to settings and added water under meal names. I put water there so I can use the measurement of ounces instead of cups when you add water choose water -municipal and adjust the ounces.
  10. I watched finding Elizabeth and flyegirl VSG love them both can't wait to watch more. I'm too chicken to do videos of my own though.
  11. Yeah my vitamins came up just like food too But being a bit ocd I had to have my own little space for them. hydro coach I couldn't find it in the App Store. Do you use Apple? Do either of you watch YouTube videos of people that have had vsg surgery? I have found them so helpful.
  12. You know that is great that you want to be my friends on my fitness pal because I was looking for some accountability and just knowing that you guys are seeing what I enter and how I track my food makes me accountable thank you.
  13. OK I logged onto my fitness pal via computer and went to settings and added it under meal names. I also put water there so I can use the measurement of ounces instead of cups
  14. Umm I can't remember. Lol I'll mess with it and let you know????
  15. I didn't ask her about carbs and fat but we should find out right? She's in the office on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays and she usually gets back to you as soon as possible after you email her. I also told her I was tracking using my fitness pal and I added her as a friend and she was able to go in and see what I was eating instead of me having to tell her all over again which was nice. It made getting help easier for both of us.
  16. For me days two and three were the toughest on the liquid diet day four through 10 were a breeze. Hopefully the headaches will go away day 4 too. Keep it up! You've got this!!!
  17. I am so glad that you finally got medical attention. And things are better for you with the Antibiotics. Thank you for keeping us in the loop. I did email back-and-forth with the dietitian Andrea and she told me where I need to be and I track everything in my fitness pal which is an awesome App. She said right now I need to be at 600 to 800 calories 40 to 60 g of Protein and drinking 32 to 48 ounces of Water a day. As soon as I started drinking the water the stall was over with and the ounces started coming off more rapidly. It is sometimes hard for me to get that much water in everyday. I try packing a cup or bottle around with me everywhere I go. I have been feeling very good my incisions were really itchy for a while but now they're all healed. Still have to make sure I don't get over hungry because I tend to eat too fast and it gives me a stomachache. But other than that I feel terrific!!! I wish this surgery went as well for you.
  18. Oh my gosh!! I am so worried about you it's Tuesday morning now please tell me you went to the hospital or the er and got checked out. I wish I had better knowledge to why having this surgery was a good thing. I do understand that in your current state why you are feeling like it wasn't such a great idea. I am Praying that this will pass and you feel better and you are able to remember why you thought this surgery was good for you. I can't even imaging what you are going thru. But I am here if you need to vent, talk anything. Please keep me posted.
