Hello, I am in Albia and had my Sleeve done 3 days ago on the 16th. Everything went well and I am feeling great other than some pain when getting up from a chair. I also have BCBS insurance and when I started my journey I was required to do the 6 month diet and nutrition education. With what I learned in those sessions I am glad that I was made to take them as it will help sooooo much post surgery when I am able to start eating regular food again. With what I learned from the Dietician I was able to drop 69 pounds prior to surgery and my wife has lost 61 pounds as well. I understand the feeling of not wanting to take any classes and the elation when you find out it is no longer required, but this is a major surgery and more importantly, a major life style change that will last forever and the more you can learn and understand before going into the surgery the better you will be able to cope with all the new changes in your life.
