  1. I have just started my journey. I am with Kaiser and they say it takes about 6-9 months to get everything done to get a surgery date. I have just done my home sleep study and signed up for my 10 week nutrition classes which start April 6th. After those are done then I will be supervised by a nutritionist and social worker until I meet my "goals" (I don't know what those are yet) then I will meet the surgeon and set a surgery date! Lots of hoops to jump through! I'm scared of the pre op liquid diet I keep hearing about...
