  1. Good luck my prayers will be with u. Just remember it gets better as time goes on. I have absolutely no regrets !!
  2. I am going through menopause and have had no problems. I honestly feel that the surgery has helped control my hot flashes. Since I am staying away from many foods that trigger my flashes I don't seem to have as many. Even though I am only 2 months out of surgery I have had less flashes.
  3. SIP and don't drink cold things do room temperature. Happened to me and this is what the Dr told me. You just had major surgery ache and pain are two different things.

  6. Yes this is normal the first week when I would get up I would apply pressure on it (basically hold my side) and then slowly got up. Surprising things do get better. Hang in there.
  7. I had surgery March 17. I'm home till April 27th but I am ready to go back to work. I'm at home with my 83 yr old father and feel like a short hand cook! I'm cooking every meal and not able to eat any if it. While he's eating an omelette I am having a protein shake, while he is eating lunch I am on jello dinner forget it another shake for me. Then to add misery I've been watching the food network everyday!
  8. Had RNY surgery in Horbart Indiana 1 week ago. Each day I seem to have questions. Grateful that I found this support group app.
  9. Had my surgery 3/17 (4 days) got on the scale and gained weight. Is this common? Is it possible I've only had liquids?
  10. 1st day liquid diet. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm guessing it had to do a lot with work being so busy. But honestly I looked at my lipstick today and thought it was a tootsie roll. (I don't even like chocolate)... Let's see what day 2 brings...
