  1. Hey guys, I am a foodie. Seriously me and food go way back. Now I have to develop a new relationship with it. Putting me on a liquid or puree diet is the same as a 5 year sentence in the House of Correction. LBVS. I took my diet suggestions very literally limiting myself to Jello, broth, cottage cheese, and other bland foods. Then I went on Pinterest and searched recipes for each diet stage. I found great stuff that opened so many possibilities!! I found a mock lasagna, chili dog recipe and even some great protein ideas! Just thought I would share! You can follow me @yachicaguy
  2. Hello Sisters! My name is Yachica and I am 4 days post op. I live in Plymouth, MN (just outside of Minneapolis) and I am so glad I'm not alone. I have a lot of family support, sometimes pitty, but I still felt alone. I am still in pain, working through this new diet (while my mom is frying chicken and cooking greens????) stitches, dry mouth, & hormones among other things. Sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going. People want me to focus on my "new body" and how "fabulous" I will look but honestly, I can only see & feel pain and discomfort. I know this too shall pass and I pray this will all be worth it. RNY: 2/18/15 Height: 5'5 HW:274 SW: 261 CW:251
  3. I had that too! I'm going into day 5 and its not an issue anymore. I stopped taking narcotics for pain. Only Tylenol. Its helped me with the dizziness and loopy feeling.
  4. It's awesome! It absolutely single handedly helped me lose those pre-surgery pounds.
  5. I am feeling the same pain in my upper left right under my rib cage. I am 4 days post op and I am very confused about what pain is normal and not normal. You are not alone.
