  1. Thank u stephanie...ur weight loss already is amazing!!!...great job!!!...ultimately my goal is just to feel better & take this pain off my joints...i have such a small frame that all this weight is doing a lot of damage...my overall health isnt too horrible...so end of day as long as i get results & relief i will be happy...i know my surgeon said he recommends sleeve due to less malnutrition issues & its a safer surgery...my PCP recommended bypass because he said the results last longer than the sleeve...i know ppl who have done both...however idk anyone past 2yrs post-surgery for the sleeve to see how well they kept the weight off
  2. Thank u both...im going to research both more & discuss them both again w/my surgeon...i lucked out & got assigned the actual director of bariatric surgery at John Hopkins Bay View in Baltimore Maryland...so he really knows his stuff
  3. I wish i could have the surgery now...4 more months of nutrition classes seems soooo far away
  4. Jenpoo...more & more im leaning toward the bypass as well...im excited for the new beginning...i just want to make sure i choose the best procedure
  5. Djmohr congrats on the weight loss...thats amazing!!!
  6. Thank u both for all the great info...this month is only my 2nd nutritional class...i have 4 more to go before i can get the surgery...i used to get reflux but havent had it in months now...but the main thing with me is heart murmur...asthma...high blood pressure...arthritis in neck/back...and diabetes & cancer run HIGH in my family on both sides...so i'd like to get ahead of the game so to speak since my health isnt terrible yet
  7. My fam dr is suggesting i do the full bypass...my surgeon is suggesting i do the sleeve...im 35...275...and 5'1...what are the pro's & con's...im afraid if i do the sleeve evential i will have to do the full bypass...i heard of ppl having to do so...any advice???
