  1. Exactly, it's her issue, don't allow her to make it yours. The meaner she is the kinder you become. She has to live with the issues, you get to go home at the end of the day. Pray for her. :-)
  2. Hi all! I was sleeved open March 9th and things have been going great! I nailed a the two week pre-op diet, and the four week post-op diet is going equally well. That said, I'm thinking about what to expect with my first real food experience and my new stomach. There must be several people (including me!) who would love to hear from people currently going through that transition. Thanks and good luck to all!
  3. Hi All! Staples out today! Feels great! Doc gave me thumbs up for light weights, elliptical, stationary bike, and road bike as long as I take it easy and keep it on flat roads. There's a bike path about .5 miles from the house, so looks like a trial ride to the beach tomorrow! Wish me luck!
  4. I was also sleeved Monday. The first two days were tough. Couldn't get down more than about 100 calories, and couldn't poop. I think I've got a decent routine now. - 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm - Protein shake mixed with 4oz Water and 4oz skim milk. - Sip mixture of three parts water and one part juice or Gatorade throughout the day. - 4oz prune juice before bed. Still not easy, but I getting the protein I need without much discomfort. Guilty pleasure for the day, I opened a jar or Peanut Butter just for a smell. :-)
  5. Just had my sleeve on March 9th. Also had hiatal hernia fixed at the same time. My surgery was in the morning on Monday, I came home Wednesday morning. No issues with nausea, but it has been much more difficult to drink Water than I expected, let alone a Protein shake. At least that was the case until this morning. This morning I was able to sip 8oz of water pretty easily, and I'm optimistic about my first Protein Shake. Moving around is not bad ... walking, stairs, etc ... just have to take it a little slow to make sure not to over exert. Mon - Wed were not fun, but things are looking up today. How about others?
