  1. Thanks for the input @CowgirlJane. I am super stoked about getting and being "back in the saddle again" ooh otta write a song like that... wait... Thanks for all the support!
  2. I would like to jump in for some accountability if you all don't mind. I have been off the wagon for several years and now trying to get back to it after gaining a lot of weight back. I started over last Saturday so this is day 5. I am paying close attention to only eat when I am physically hungry. I have not cheated at all. Warded off pop and all sweets. Today has been good. I got to walk 2.1 miles. My meals have been good and small. High protein and low carb. Chili for lunch (Small from Wendys.) 2 Sausage patties this morning for Beakfast. Drank plenty of water today too.
  3. protein shake. That's what I meant that's what I meant. Focus focus focus.I am on the track right now still breathing in everything!
  4. Everyone loves bacon.. that is why I chose that as a handle. No one gets mad at bacon..
  5. Today is my day off so I am off to the track at the community college. So if you do not hear back from me, send a life squad to come get me!! Oh.. and tell them to bring a milkshake!!
  6. The temptation of getting on the scale is pretty strong. In the past I got on the scale a bunch, and it would lead to me getting discouraged and usually getting off track with a binge. So I think I will weigh ever 2 weeks or wait till I go to see the doc. I remember thinking( when I was at my lowest weight) "that was actually real easy, If I gain a few pounds , it will be easy to take off." 70 pounds late... not that easy.. Can success actually lead to greater discouragement?
  7. It appears that you are killin it. If people think you are bragging, maybe there is some insecurities on their part. Jus sayin..
  8. I need to write a song with this as the title... bet it'd be a hit!
  9. Thanks! I just got off the phone with the doctors office. I have an appointment. Its not for 6 weeks... but its been this long. I WILL need to stay focused. Thanks again for the support ya'll.. (thats what we call folks back home)..lol
  10. My plan : Until I can get to the doctor, I am eating slower. I know it is still a lot of food for a bariatric patient, but I have not binged or PB since last friday. That is huge for me. I came up with a way to get some exercise while at work. I deliver gasoline for a living, so the time spent loading and unloading will be spent walking feom one end of the truck to the other. Or there is a step in the loading bay I have been using to do step ups. Hey, it's something. I already feel better than I have in months.
  11. Or while you are ording in the drive thru...
  12. Thanks everyone for the support. I plan to call when I get done with this large supreme pizza. Lol JK...
  13. I am interested in getting back on track @Bandista. I think the fear of being overfilled again is there. And to be honest the embarrassment of failing is there. But I was thinking of talking to my fam doc at my next check up in a month or so. But should I just call the original surgeons office or try a different one?
  14. I am considering a revision. I was banded in spring of 08. I believe I had 4 fills and 3 were over fills where I could not get any fluid through. I went to the ER and they took the fluid out and I have not been back since. I was wanting to know If any surgeon would even consider it and if Insurance would pay for it. Feel free to share any and all info from your own experience! Thanks in advance!!
  15. Thanks for the kind words. I have been considering a revision. I was just a giant failure that I guess I don't know what the insurance company will do. I have not been to the bariatric doc for 4 years or so.
  16. I think I would caution you on "bringing it up" when you get stuck. I have done that for years and really regret it. Now I try to chew real well and swallow a little at a time. If I get stuck now, I wait for five minutes or so. If it does not go through, the meal is over. I will only eat again until I feel stomach growl. This means you are clear and you are Physically hungry. And when you are, it is so much easier to eat.
  17. Hey all. Thought I might introduce myself and tell a bit about my situation. I was banded back in March 2008. Starting weight at 340 pounds. I got all the way down to 210 pounds. I went through a divorce about the time I hit my lowest and then figured how to cheat and went back to binge eating. I have been on a steady gain ever since then. I quit going to the doctor after 3 bad fills where I could not get Water through. I went to the ER and they took Fluid out then. I never went back. So fast forward to the current. I am at 282 pounds. I really want to get back to the program. I need support in a bad way. Hope to make some friends and maybe be an encouragement to some one on what NOT to do.. Hope to hear from you!
