  1. I drink on occasion. I am 3 months out from surgery. I haven't had any problems with it, but if I over do it, recovery the next day is harder.
  2. I am also with Dr. Ortiz on April 25th, I have been getting a lot of grief from friends and family about going to Mexico as well... I also want to have my gallbladder removed the same time as the sleeve, is this common? I haven't set my surgery date yet still researching have any of you seen any post about medical tourism and Dr Mario Camelo Ramos? @@4evertonya , I went to Dr. Camelo. I had a great experience. All the Doctors and nurses were very nice and spoke English. My husband stayed in the room with me. My surgery was 4/3. So I am a month out. I was worried that I hadn't heard anything about him either. Bianca at medical tourism was a great contact and gave me information of former patients. Good luck!

  4. I was sleeved on 4/3. I am struggling with calories. How many should I have? Also my drain incision is still open and about the size of a pencil eraser. Anyone else have this problem?

  10. Out of surgery 2 hours ago. Left side/flank pain is not good! But it is where the drain is, so I am sure it will get better. Already walked 300+ feet. A little unsteady but it felt good to move! Day 5 for no real food, so feeling weak and tired! Overall I am doing great and the team here is super nice!
  11. Laying in the hospital waiting to go to surgery! My nerves are killing me! Ready or not!

  16. I am starting to get really nervous! I know this is what I want and need, but started panicking yesterday! A few deep breaths and looks in the mirror and I am ready to go! 4 days to a new beginning!
  17. Can I ask where in Iowa? I understand if you don't want to say.
  18. I tried the chicken unjury, and it wasn't bad. I was going to get some diet cranberry to try the unflavored. I have done my share of liquid diets and I am dragging my feet at trying the others. They smell like tube feedings to me

  20. I am so excited for everyone! I ordered protein powder samples from Unjury. They have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, chicken and unflavored. I am really curious about the chicken and unflavored, I get tired of the sweet ones.
  21. LadyVSG, it seems like there is a lot of nurses on here! Welcome and good luck everyone! Has anyone tried or found any protein powder they like?
