I just lost my insurance coverage (through my mother) because I reached the age limit (26), So I have no PCP at this moment.

But I'm currently being hired by company that has a contract with the county ( Miami Dade county) but it's a process, they need to send my paperwork to the county and see if I they accept me (I don't see any reason for them to hire me, I have no records, etc, and I even filled out a W-4, deug test, fingerprints, physical examination etc)

I spend almost three years looking for a job. Here in Florida can be hard to find one.

I'm going to revise the handbook and see what I can find.

So in brief. I have to bring a doctor's note and see if the District manager approves, otherwise I might be kicked out.

I just told her and she was dramatic. She asked why I didn't tell her before. (Surgery date is on the 28th ????) She also said that she needed to speak to the District manager to see what we can do; I need to bring a doctor's note, that she might not give me those days because it might be "blackout" (something like that; it means that the store is going to be busy and they cannot give days off). She wasn't happy about it. The she was trying to tell me that she might need me to work all these days and that if I ask for a favor she can ask me for a favor as well (which is working all these days nonstop covering a recently fired employee) She also asked me the reason I wanted the days off, I finally told her, and she told me about some people who got the surgery and gained the weight back. It was a disaster. She was trying to make make feel like I'm doing it wrong. She even told me that I needed to take care of my job first... and a lot of unpleasant stuff. I rarely ask for days off. I even go to work feeling sick, etc. I'm her best employee. .. and she can't consider me...

Omg thank you for helping me understand. I guess I'm so nervous right now... I can't even think clearly. I'm getting obsessed about the surgery, scared of not getting the loan, and plus my boyfriend doesn't have a passport. .., and waiting on the loan to book the flights. .. surgery date is on Feb 28... ????????????????!

Omg! This is some good information I didn't know!! Thank you so much! But what about thw person who is traveling with me? He will ned to ask for days off as well , he mostly gets weekends off, so he will actually need to ask for 4 days. But he's not the one to have the surgery. Will they let him go?

Sorry but what does FMLA mean? Both my manager and District manager are very gossipy. My manager will ask me for at least a doctor's note or something. I'm not sure if I could get that from Mexico's A Lighter Me...

Hi! I have a question. How did you manage to ask your manager/boss/ supervisor for 6 days off? I'm a sales associate at a women's store. I don't get vacation, sick pay, etc... I'm sure I can tell her about my surgery but I don't know what she is going to say when I tell her that I'm going to Mexico to have it done. She's nice but she gets all dramatic, and fatalistic when people have to ask for days off... I already have almost 3 weeks in advance to ask her. So please, what should I tell her?

I have a question. Can reschedule my surgery if I have already paid the deposit? If the surgery is 4600 and I pay the 500, will my surgery cost 4100? Sorry it may sound stupid but I'm not familiar with debt/financing related stuff.

My boyfriend got his credit checked twice last year (inquiries; furniture, house rental, etc) and they gave him a full credit report (in paper) so he won't have to get his credit checked in a while because his credit score has gone down by a few points. Can he use that credit report in order to get the loan? (He's ok if they have to check it again, he just doesn't want his credit to go down due to the inquiries.

Hello! This will be my first post. My name is Jenniffer, I'm 26 years of age, suffering from PCOS (no periods, hirsutism, weight gain, infertility, except for the hair loss) and Hypertension. I'm 5'4 and 266 lbs. I've been overweight my entire life. I developed hypertension when I was 14 years old (inherited) due to my obesity. When I turned 15, I decided to do something for my health and got a gym membership, That's when I reached my lightest weight 180 lbs. Years later, by 2008/09 I was 289/290 lbs. I made it to 207 and then again I'm back to 266/7 in a three year period. I have tried as many diets as you can imagine. I have become a diet connoisseour and a fitness lover. I have become very deppressed and getting sleeved has become my last resource. I found out about going to Mexico and getting sleeved through A Lighter Me , but I also learned about Dr. Ramos Kelly. I have some questions for those that can relate to my experience. Here are my questions: -A Lighter Me (cheaper still good) vs Dr. Kelly (more expensive) -Which loan company lent you the money and how was the process. -Were you able to lose weight with PCOS, just like regular women do? Tell me about your experience please, because I'm completely lost. P.s. I heard bypass surgery works better for women with PCOS but I prefer the sleeve. Please help!
