  1. Well my band did NOT slip but any time I have a fill, I get GERD. My doctor says I just have a sensitive stomach so we UNFILLED my band and there is nothing in it. As a result, I've gained back 20 lbs. I don't know what to do. I can't keep a fill in me and I gain weight without it. I've gone back and forth to the MD 1 or 2 times a month. It's embarrassing. Anyone else have this?
  2. Wow! Well take care and get some rest -- you probably are very relieved! Does your insurance pay for that? Sorry, it's not TMI, I can deal.
  3. How did they "repair" your band after it slipped? I got some aloe vera juice, mixed it with Crystal Light and it has DEFINITELY helped. I see the MD in 3 days and can't wait to have this unfilled. I hope it hasn't slipped!
  4. Did you ever find out what this is? I seem to be having similar issues and am ruining sheets and pajamas! I am backing up at night, sometimes with acid and sometimes without. Definitely coughing and choking in my sleep. I cannot even sleep one solid hour.
  5. Hi. I was banded in Aug. 2007. Got only fill about 3 months after surgery and have had no issues. All of a sudden about 3 weeks ago, I started having trouble eating as much as I need to and have experienced some vomiting and gerd (even in my sleep). The gurgling has increased significantly too. Has anyone experienced this so long after getting a fill? Is the solution to get an UNfill? I am starving! Thanks so much!
  6. Hi! I was banded in August and after my first fill, I started gurgling too! Yes, it's embarrassing and I hate it but not to the point where I want the band removed. If this is as bad as it gets, I am ok with it! I find that the more I chew, the easier the swallowing is. I think I gurgle more when I eat fast, bigger bites, etc. All the no-no's. Has your surgeon given you any advice about gurgling? I actually haven't thought to ask mine.
