  1. I just recently had a problem at work with someone I thought was a friend. She is gaining most of the weight that I have lost. I only have 24 lbs left to lose. I just had a PCP Dr appt and He decreased my blood pressure meds by 1 pill. I am on top of the world.
  2. I have tried it too With a good sause I like it. Olive Garden serves it now. I think my biggest problem with traveling is I hadn't tried out any resturants before the trip. I never realize how steep the learning curve is for this new eating style. Donna
  3. I did find that Applebees has a weight watcher menu woth about 10 choices. They are now on my to do list.
  4. I don't eat beef and I still have trouble with Pasta and rice. I don't eat fried aand high fat. That made the choices at some restruants almost nothing. I try to stick to skinless chicken and fish, broiled or baked. I also can't eat bread. Sticking with food I cook has really help me loss weight steady. Bad 4 lbs is due to lack of food and frustrating search. Donna
  5. Well gang, I just took my first trip. A 4 day weekend with hub. Eating was a real problem. I don't want all of the extra food on my plate. What have any of you found to make it easier? I lost 4 lbs on the trip and it wasn't a "good" loss Donna
  6. I'm in Harrisburg. Good luck with surgery. At 51 I wish I had done it sooner. I feel ten years young
  7. I had my first fill today, banded Nov 19, he put in 1 cc. That seamed low from the other posts I've read. Doc recommended liquids for today, but I knew better. I now have 1/2 a turkey burger with not bread, just sitting there. My weight loss has been great. Only 35 lbs. to go:wink_smile:
  8. Booniep I was a bread additic, I can't eat that any more. I do eat mashed potatoes, it was one of my first foods. I also eat baked potatos, not so much rice or pasta. The band helps you stop eating when you are full. The first couple of weeks really teach you when to stop and what you can't eat. 2 Months out and I am still learning. I treat myself to 1/2 cup of serbert 2 times a week. I have lost 32 lb. since Nov 19,2007. 3 pants sizes and I feel great. You will find things to substitute for your cravings. Good luck Donna
  9. C.N. I lost some energy at first also. I was banded Nov 19,07. Last week, I started to take vit. B complex and it has made a world of difference. I have two children, girls 23 and 27, no grandchildren. I am with Indiogirl, give me the body and I want to keep the experience. Donna
  10. I was a self pay and had no pre-op diet. Your right if I had one I think I would have been more prepared
  11. I was banded Nov 19,2007. I went for my first fill and I had lost 28 lbs. Doc said "let's wait and see if we can get the reflux under control before we fill. Wt loss has slowed down, but I don't sleep well because of the reflux. I can eat most meat, all fish, and most veggies. :faint: Not beef!!!!!! drosati
  12. Everytime I miss my old eating habits, I watch my husband eat. That just reminds my of how I got this way. I am down 28 lbs. and 2 pants sizes. If I find that something that I just have to have, I have a taste. For the holidays I eat what ever I wanted and gain no wt. This worked because I only tasted things for the memories of holidays past. However I do miss pizza!
  13. I was banded Nov 19 and my first fill is schedule for January 4
