@@lavendermom3 I got a call on 1/16 from Independent Health saying I was approved and then a call on the 21st with all the info about the date for pre op at ECMC and the pre op workshop and the date of the surgery from Synergy. That was a very long 5 days waiting for that call…lol. As for the liver reduction diet I will be able to tell you more tomorrow after my pre op at Synergy. They told me the appointment will take about an hour and a half. @@Jenngf5 How are you feeling? Hope you are over the low grade fever and all is well with you.

@@lavendermom3 I have Dr Caruana and my surgery is on the 12th. I did my pre op at ECMC this morning. My pre op workshop is Wednesday.

@@alxmak1021 I am through Synergy also, I have Dr. Caruana. Tomorrow I go to ECMC for my pre op testing. Wednesday I go for my pre op workshop and start my Liver reduction diet on Monday. Thank you for the information cuts down on the fear of the unknown.

@@alxmak1021 Thank you for the info. I had checked out Sisters Hospital and then found out my doctor moved to ECMC about a year ago. @@Jenngf5 You too were in ECMC? Do you need to request a private room or do you just get what they have? My doctor said I would get a script for pain meds when I was discharged and should get it filled.

@@Jenngf5 Thank you for the welcome. I found out my date yesterday, I am both thrilled and scared. I do feel with all the research I have been doing over the last few months has been very informative and helps me know more what to expect. Has anyone been to ECMC for their surgery….how is it?

Hi~ This is my first post and I am just looking around for some hints or information on my upcoming surgery. Have found some interesting things and advise which I am sure will prove make things easier or at least know some of the things that may happen.
