  1. I had my surgery on Thursday and I was prepared for the worse (just in case). So far it has been best. They had me walking in the recovery room, not much but back and forth a couple times. When I got to my room, I walked whenever I could. What a difference, got rid of a lot of gas that way (both ends). I gained 4 pounds from the IVs they had me hooked up to but that is just Water weight. After all the fear of the unknown, I am thrilled so far. I am not saying I don’t have pain but it isn’t as bad as I had thought, what I have I can live with. It should be getting better every day. Good luck to all the February Sleevers.
  2. I am home and all seems to have gone well. Best Doctor and the room I had at ECMC was more like a hotel room than a hospital room. Now on to sipping my way to a healthier life.
  3. @ lavendermom3 Yes, very excited and of course scared out of my mind but I know this is the right thing for me and hopefully with this tool (gift) I can get the scale moving down.
  4. @ It'sMeAnonyMouse Welcome to the group, Synergy Bariatrics is where I am going too.
  5. @@lavendermom3 Oh my goodness no date until today and already you are moved up two week…..good for you. I am even more excited for you. Is the meeting for your pre op workshop? I have not tried any of the unjury things. I did get a tub of the Fusion unflavored and mix that with some of the premade drinks I have and it seems to cut some of the sweet. I haven’t gotten too much post op items, I want to wait and try some things first. I have heard from some people that their taste change and they couldn’t drink the same shakes as before surgery. I don’t want to waste money on things I won’t be able to stomach.
  6. @@lavendermom3 I am so happy for you. Yes, you may see her. Just finishing day 8 of LRD, it isn’t too bad…boring and down 11 pounds. I really am so excited for you. If you need anything just let me know.
  7. @@lavendermom3 You owe me nothing...just wish you would get a call with a date. Maybe this week (I hope)
  8. @ CC197823 So happy that your surgery is over and you are on the other side. Good luck.
  9. @@LENCHEN I am so excited for you. I am on day 5 of the pre op Liver Reduction Diet. Like you I am excited and scared….lol. Keep sipping away.
  10. @@lavendermom3 Just found out one of the girls from my workshop got a date 3/16. So maybe you will be getting a call soon. Fingers crossed.
  11. @@VGB Just keep positive. Like you said you get to have Valentine’s Day, I take these things as it must be meant to be. Good Luck
  12. @@Marge1927 I was thinking about you today...hope it all went well.
  13. @@lavendermom3 Yes the one with the three workshops. There were 3 of us and the other two are still waiting.
  14. @@Marge1927 You so got this.
  15. @@lavendermom3 Hope you get a call soon. The two other girls in my workshop are still waiting for that call too. Fingers crossed.
  16. @@lavendermom3 I know what you mean, it won’t be easy to cook for others when you can only drink. I don’t understand why someone would go through something like this and then shoot themselves in the foot by going back to old ways. I hope I do well and will try my best to follow doctor’s orders. I know there will be some bumps in the road but hope I can get over them. Have you gotten all your requirements done? I had to do an extra week of food journals.
  17. @@lavendermom3 It is just hitting me that in less than two weeks the wait will be over. I know what you are saying. I will keep reminding myself of this on Monday when liquid diet starts...lol
  18. @@LENCHEN I will be a little behind you...I start mine on Monday. Good Luck
  19. @@lavendermom3 Pre op at ECMC went very well…..little blood work….EKG and Chest X-ray. Went very fast was in and out within a little over an hour. Just spoke with one of the girls from my workshop and she too is still waiting for a date. My fingers are crossed hoping you get a call soon. I am in Tonawanda.
  20. @@Jenngf5 Congratulations on the your achievement. You must be thrilled and proud of yourself. Three sips for you.
  21. @@xoMonica Don't beat yourself up over it....just keep your eye on the prize. You can do this.
  22. @@fortheloveofme @ Jenngf5 I guess that is the difference every Doctor and Hospital runs differently. My husband has been the one that has gone to my appointments with me. I also choose to only share the news of my surgery with a very few people. I agree with you , nice to have someone thinking of questions I didn’t think of.
  23. @@fortheloveofme Why do you need to take someone with you?
  24. @@fortheloveofme I did most of my research online. I have spent months reading up on the different surgeries and started this wanting one surgery and changing my mind after more research. And don’t set your heart on one because a friend was going for one but the Doctor said she should get a different one for her circumstance. Good luck take notes so you can refer to what they tell you.
  25. I go for my pre op workshop tomorrow and start my liver reduction diet on Monday. My surgery date is 2/12. Good luck to all of us.
