  1. What helped you stay on track? What kind of things did you eat? The Dr said to have 2-3 protein drinks with 1 sensible meal. No milk/juices I'm finding it hard to drink watered protein drinks
  2. Surgery may 19th! What are some things that helped you get through preop
  3. What vitamins and supplements do you use?
  4. Yay!! Exciting someone to relate at same time. Southern California

  6. Alwaysvegas thanks i understand to be concerned but to put me down for what i think is best for me @@alwaysvegas
  7. It is really frustrating when my fiancé doesnt support wls. He thinks it's the easy way out. If i really wanted it i should do it the "right way!" It would be more rewarding and appreciative? Wtf
  8. So i am excited about surgery but also scared and thinking how much pain i will be in. I know everyone's pain tolerance is different. Would anyone be able to compare the pain to c-section because that was super painful?
  9. Okay gotta try that..thanks @@CanyonBaby
  10. What helped you stay on pre op diet?
  11. This has been such a long and tedious process for me. I had to have referrals for each and everything. I met primary dr march 29th 2014, had to see a nut for 2 months. Then go to weight watchers and lose weight couldn't miss 1 week for 6 months straight w/o missing one week or have to start over. Have monthly weigh in with dr for 6 months. Then they send off for referral for surgery 1 month process. Go to seminar then schedule consultation with bariatric dr another month out. Now im doing all my preop which is cardiologist, physiologist, gi, xrays, primary dr clearances. Still have no surgery date set. A year in the works. So sorry i get jealous when i hear how easy it is for some of you guys
  12. Did anyone else think the gi ultrasound was uncomfortable and painful? Was squeezing my fists as hard as i could entire time.
  13. How long did you stay in hospital? Congrats
  14. Just curious i was reading how sleeve come in different sizes? Did you pick or dr?
  15. So i went to consultation set to have sleeve. While waiting in wait room and hearing some ladies talk about their rny surgeries and how successful they were and barely any pain. I started 2nd guessing myself. I told dr i wanted sleeve and he said it would work great for me but if i changed my mind to gastric would also be great. I was hoping he would push for one or the other. Ekkk my hopes are to lose 100 lbs with sleeve? He said guarantee 80 with sleeve and 100 with bypass

  17. Has anybody or know anybody that has had open heart surgery and be successful with getting weight loss surgery?
  18. @@Jordan861 i get it from certain foods--tomato foods/drinks. I mostly get it at night before going asleep. Usually tums and pepto bismo help relieve it. Good to know no more heartburn with sleeve for you:)
  19. @@Bufflehead ya im scared if it will make it worst with sleeve but even more scared to do gastric. I hope i can get some answers what my heartburn is caused from. I heard hiatal hernia could be cured with weight loss alone? I know the bypass surgery is successful but scares me rerouting digestive system. Eekkk
  20. @@Stevehud yes i think being overweight has alot to do with it. I did test for sleep apnea and showed i had some activity but never went back for machine. That is good to hear it hasn't been a problem for you now.
  21. @@JamieLogical those were my thoughts. Hoping and thinking heartburn will be relieved with weight loss. Im at my heaviest weight and never had it before. So i was thinking of staying away from foods that i get it from and switching dinner for protein drink to see if that helps.
  22. So i had a few more hoops trying to get approval for surgery. Now im having hard time deciding sleeve or gastric due to having heartburn. I went to seminar last night and said sleeve doesnt cure heartburn. I really really want to get sleeve instead of bypass. What are some thoughts if you have heartburn and been sleeved?
