  1. I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and a friend. My name is Christie and I am 36. I love the outdoors and love camping. My husband and I are best friends and had fourteen great years together before my daughter came along. We were together for seven years and then married seven more before she came and I only tell you this because when we first got married I was determined to get pregnant, if you told me to go walk a tight rope and that would get me pregnant, I would have taken my fat butt to the tight rope and walked it from here to tim-buck-too! The doctors all told me that because of my weight I would never be pregnant, but that was not God's plan. I have learned a lot about his plan and how only he will make it known. Patience is a hard lesson to learn. My daughter is now six and I am still in love with her, but something hit me very strongly recently that made me realize that if I do not make a change, I may not be here to see her get older. I have spent almost 16 years as a 911 telecommunicator and can say that I absolutely without a doubt love my job! (now that does not mean that I don't have a bad day here or there and wonder, "what the heck am I doing?") however I truly enjoy coming to work.
  2. Congratulations to all of you. I am on the same path currently booking appointments and waiting to set a date but feeling very excited. I am looking foward to not feeling so much pain and being able to move more freely. I have fibromyalgia and my weight has only made it worse. I have a choice and I choose to DO something about it.
