  1. Hi, I had my surgery on November 19, 2007 and have lost about 50 pounds. Recently I've noticed that the inside edge of my belly button is bright red. I have an inner belly button. It kind of looks like a rash and a bad odor is coming out of it. Has anyone experienced this or might know what this is about? I was thinking that maybe since the fat around my stomach has reduced it has exposed the belly button a bit more. Any ideas or suggestions?
  2. HI, before long you will not feel so much pain. I know what your going through, I was banded Nov 19 2007, since then Ive lost 30 pounds. It takes time and you will heal soon and then be dropping the pounds. I'm in Alexandria, VA, itd be nice to have someone to keep in contact with about progress and experiences. Good luck!
  3. congrats for to you too..Since you got yours on Monday too, are you on the liquid diet? For me it doesnt seem like the protein shakes are helping keep the hunger away. I am so very still hungry. How about you?
  4. I just got my surgery this past monday 11/19/07. The horrible problem of gas pain from the gas left inside the stomach took a couple days to pass but since I've got home I've had this uncomfortable feeling of something passing from the top of my chest to the bottom of my stomach. It sometimes starts and ends on different parts of the esophogas/stomach. I asked the doctor and he said it's probably liquid passing down, but it happens at times even after I havent had anything to digest. It even happened when I first got home and all I had was Water and ice chips. I want to know if anyone experiences this, and if so, does it go away. The feeling is quite uncomfortable and even makes me have to stop talking to let it pass. THANKS!! REBECCA
