Does ANYONE have any feedback on Dr. Fred Maese If ANYONE out here has ANY information GOOD OR BAD on Dr. Fred Maese in Dallas,Texas could you PLEASE send me the information or post it on here. I need to here from as many of you as possible. Thanks in advance. PLEASE let me know what you think, how you feel, how your surgerys went and your fills went. How was the office and staff etc. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Again.

If you have any other options PLEASE use them. Because of a severe infection due to TOTAL carelessness, I had to have 2 surgeries my band and port removed and spent 3 weeks in the hospital. May I suggest a Dr. Jayaseelan(Dr. Jay) he is at Medical City Dallas 972-566-2263. He is the Dr. that put me back together and took damn good care of me, even thou another Dr. caused all the damage. He has been a G-D send. I wish you the best, PLEASE think hard about your choices, it may save your life, AND your lap band.

Dr. Jaysaleen is who took me in after I was infected by Dr. Maese. I was hospitalized for 3 weeks, VERY sick, lost my whole band and port. Needless to say I was devestated. I want my band back, and I'm not sure Dr. Jaysaleen will be able to do it, because of all the damage. We are waiting to see as I continue to heal. I used Maese also, I was in terrible pain and had a severe infection and needed help. I called him numerous times on a weekend, he NEVER returned my calls and because of his non concern of my well being I had to go to the hospital, his staff told me to go, that he would probably not return my call. $6500.00 for the hospital to tell me I was sick but not sick enough for them to help me. They said I needed to go back to Maese. I questioned him about the not returning my phone call and was told he "only got an hour and a half with his kids a week and I was not there to discuss this, to just discuss my problem that he did not have time to discuss his personal life" AVOID this Dr. he runs people through like cattle and does not seem to take any interest in everyones well being.

I have just spent 3 FULL weeks hospitalized from a dirty fill. $8000.00 for my band to be put in...250,000.00 to be taken OUT!!!!!!! I have a hole the size of a SOFTBALL in my stomach because of a careless Dr. and dirty practices. I am finally closing up and I will NEVER be the same. The dent in my stomach will always be a reminder of how vunerable the body is. Get the hell out of there. RUN!!! I know this is waaay past the date you posted this, but hopefully it will help someone else.</p>

I'm sorry about the confusion!!! Ok...Dr. Jayaseelan is absolutly WONDERFUL, I have had NO problems and love him to death!!!! Dr. Jay had to get me through one AWFUL mess. Dr. Jay took take care of me when I had a SEVERE infection and he was NOT the Dr. that banded me. I walked into his office and from minute one, I felt like he had been my Dr. for years. EXTREMLY knowledgable and very straight forward and honest!!! I have been thru hell and back and I am very grateful to have found Dr. Jayaseelan!!!!! It just so happens that I was banded in Mexico and I was doing great...down 45 pounds and feeling good!! I had my first fill done at Dr. Fred Maese office. :faint:I had to return a few times due to a severe infection. I will NOT be returning to Dr. Maese office. I will never be the same, my entire band has been removed. All I can say is PLEASE PLEASE be aware, ask lot's of questions, check online with the medical board, ask other people, make sure things are CLEAN and STERILE and GLOVES are used and the skin is CLEANED, ALL before anything is done. Talk to your Dr. What do they specialize in?? How were they trained and by who?? No matter who you use, ALWAYS check them out first. My Lap-Band was the best thing I had done for myself and due to no fault of mine, it is now gone, I will never be the same. The scars will be with me the rest of my life.

I was banded in Mexico and I was doing wonderful. And YES, I also was turned away by MANY Dr.s. I don't think thats fair that we should be turned away. I understand they don't want to be caught up in the middle of risks, and it was very hard getting past all the negative Dr.s. Dr. M did take me on. Please just take notice of your surroundings and be cautious about how clean things are. His girls were very nice to me also. Check his background with the medical board also. My only point is just be protective of yourself, you only have one body. I'm glad your doing well and i wish you the best.

I LOVE this man...he is AWESOME. The best Dr. I have had in a REALLY long time. I trust him with my life...and I had to. He's great!!!!

REALLY BAD NEWS...DO NOT go to Dr. Fred Maese. He has ruined me for life. He is NOT a surgeon, and you can look him up on the Medical Board sight and he has complaints. PLEASE protect yourself.

Yes I do, and he is wonderful. He goes above and beyond. He truely cares about how his patients feel.

Go to Dr. Nirmal Jayaseelan at Medical City. He is OUTSTANDING and a wonderful Dr. I don't know what I would have done with out him.

PLEASE...I beg you, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT see Dr. Maese. I used him for my first fill and it has cost me my complete band. I had to have it removed due to a VERY serious infection. I was in the hospital 3 weeks and I have a hole the size of a SOFTBALL in my stomach. Go look him up on the medical board sight, he has been in trouble more then once.
