I am 47 years old, 5" 1, 260lbs. Can't believe I just wrote that but that is me, well a part of me. I have been a "thick girl" for 27 yrs and a mother of 5 daughters before that I was athlete. Never really seen myself as a big girl, until last year when I had to have a total hysterectomy and the pounds just kept going up and up. In November 2014 I made up my mind that I had to do something. The journey I have been on has had up and downs which has lead me to my surgery date June 11. Nervous scared but calm and ready for the day to arrive. Can't wait to start this chapter in my life.
