  1. Sassycas45 thanks for the words of encouragement! They mean a lot!
  2. I just got some disappointing news today. My Doctor decided he needed to take 3 weeks off. Which, it just so happens to fall right when my surgery was scheduled. Now, I'm rescheduled for March 24th. Also...I have already started the pre-surgery diet...grrr. Which means I'm on it a week longer. I hope I have the strength to stay on it. The 1,000 calories or less per day is very hard on my poor old brain. Everyone around me is going to have to deal with me being ditzy for one more week.
  3. I have been on the phase one of the pre-op diet for 3 weeks now. At first I was hungry all the time. Now, it is better. I started early because my body is so resistant to losing weight...it was a big worry for me! I have lost 9 out of the 15 pounds I needed to lose prior to surgery. I still have 4 weeks to go. I'm hopeful I will lose the rest. As the time comes near, I'm so ready for this to happen and get on with life. I'm thinking the first order of business will be roller coaster riding! It will be nice to fit into the chairs and be able to run around the park all day. What are you guys excited to do once you achieve your new weight and start your new life?
  4. @spicy06- My program wants me to use the Meal Replacement shakes. I used Bariatric Advantage. I think they have 6 flavors to choose from. You can order them online.
  5. I started phase 1 of my pre-op diet. I add a Protein shake in for Breakfast and snack. The biggest thing I noticed is I miss a hot meal for breakfast. The shakes taste fine...I like the chocolate, vanilla and orange flavors the best. When I move into phase 3, I will be on shakes with just a little veggies. I know why they want me to go through this way of eating...to get me ready for post surgery diet but I have to admit, it will be hard. I'll miss chewing. Believe it or not. I'm just trying to keep in mind that it won't be forever...it may feel like it at the time but it will be over soon. I hope we all keep in touch after the surgery. I think it will help give us the will to power through! Best wishes everyone!
  6. My surgery is scheduled for March 17th. I'm 90% excited and 10% nervous. I feel like I'm so ready to get this started that I wish it was tomorrow.
