Hi. I am scheduled for a full tummy tuck on Dec 21, 2010. I was just wondering for those who have had a tummy tuck, can you see a "lump" where your port is placed? I had the Realize Band put in 6-2008. I'm thinking the Realize port was supposed to be a lower profile port. Any thoughts or comments? Thanks so much. Amber

My tummytuck is in 6 days. I'm suppose to start my period anytime. What happens if I'm on my period ??? Has this happen to anyone out there???? -
Well I had my tummy tuck on Dec 21 and so far you cannot see my port. I'm pretty swollen though. PS didn't have to move the port. They took off 7lbs! So far the recovery has been a piece of cake. I just have one drain that keeps bothering me. I think the key to recovery is stay on pain meds like clock work for the first few days. I'm on motrin now for the pain. Walk...walk...walk. I can't wait until the swelling goes down.

Thats good to know. Thanks for your response. I have a feeling that I will have enough "cushion" to cover. I really don't like the idea of it being moved. I guess I'm just paranoid! lol

I was banded June 10th 2008 and have lost only 30 lbs. I do exercise about 3-4 times per week. I've fell off the wagon as far as eating the "right" foods. I really need to recommit. I think I'm a carb junkie. I need to lose about 65 lb to be at my goal weight. Maybe in the next year. I hope.

Thanks for getting back with me. I has been awhile since I've been on the site. Your recommendations look great and I hope to try and follow them. I live in Weidman Michigan. I'm located in the middle of michigan by Mt. Pleasant. Were are you from? Weight loss is still slow. I just need to recommit and follow your rules. I do eat carbs. I think I'm a carb junkie. I need to find a way to eliminate them without going crazy. Nice chatting with ya. Have a great 4th of July.

Congrats Allie!!!! You have been so successful. Any helpful hints for me. I was banded on 6-10-08. I have 8cc in my realize band. I do exercise and lift weights approx 3-5 per week (depending on time) I do have restriction. I occassional have "treats" but not like I used too. Any advise would be great. You look wonderful.

I soooo hear you. I was banded on 6-10-08 and have only lost 23 lbs. Very frustrating. I guess I don't always make those healthy choices. I have 8 cc in my realize band. Hang in there.

I was baned on June 10th. I started losing weight back in January and lost about 20ish lbs before surgery then I dropped 10 lbs the first week after surgery and I have gained 3 lbs:mad2:. I had my first fill on July 7th of 3ccs (realize band). No restriction yet. I don't want to be a slow loser!
