  1. Congratulations brightlife and texascurves. It sounds like things are progressing normally. I'm glad to hear it. Speedy recovery to both of you.
  2. Mommy- yes, i've been on the preop diet since December 1. My surgeon will only allow me to have protein shakes four times a day. From what I gather, he's pretty strict with the rules. So far it hasn't been too bad. 12 days to go. Crazy fast!
  3. Best wishes to Curvey and Angel. I hope you are up and around quickly.
  4. I'm glad I have company. It looks like there are three of us for the 29th. I am so filled with emotions. It's like a roller coaster from one day to the next.
  5. I also like the SmartShake bottle. It doesn't have a ball that bounces around so it's less noisy. I was able to find a teal and a black one at the Vitamin shop. There are other colors online. It has a mesh screen that attaches to the lid and helps break up the Protein in the drink. The screen blocks any chunks that do not break up. It also has a compartment for Vitamins as well as your Protein Powder. Both of these compartments screw onto the bottom of the cup. Hope this helps.
  6. Someone recommended to me Biochem. I got it at the vitamin shoppe. I personally have not tried it yet. I just got it today. It's 100% whey protein isolate. That is what my surgeon is recommending for me post-op. I hope that helps.
  7. I'm hoping my tastes change post-op. Like maddox1, I'm having difficulties with most favors including chocolate. Maybe it's because I prefer dark chocolate. I'll try diluting them a little more so it's more milk tasting. Thanks for the suggestion.
  8. I like the idea of a new year with a new healthy plan.
  9. I'm a newbie too. Just joined today. My surgery date is scheduled for December 29th. I am on week two of the pre-surgery diet and finding it to be a challenge. Shocker huh? How's everyone else doing with the waiting bit?
