  1. I'm a type 2 diabetic and was debating between the gastric bypass and the gastric sleeve. I decided the sleeve was the best option for me. My question to you guys would be in what ways did the sleeve improve diabetes for you? How soon were you able to notice the changes? Did your doctor decrease your medications or better yet were they taken away all together? I'm currently pre-op and my surgery date is 1/6/15 (I'm so excited, I can barely wait lol) and just wanted to know how the sleeve could better my condition. Thank you:-)

Secondly, I applaud your courage to decide to make a decision that you knew was right for yourself. I too lost quite a few loved ones to diabetes, and still made the wrong choices and procrastinated.
