I am anxious as I will going 8 to the Pre-op diet for two weeks. My anxiety is due to feeling hunger pains, headaches and mood swings. How can I get through this.....any suggestions or words of wisdom to share with this anxious lady :-1

Well time is here!! I survived the two week liquid diet it wasn't as bad as I thought. Pretty scary as at times I was not that hungry. I think it's because my doctor allowed me to have vegetables and fruits. tomorrow is my surgery I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I have to pack and have things ready. I asked for many positive thoughts and prayers sent my way as I go into surgery tomorrow December 18th. Thank you so much for all your support hope to see you in the post op forum.

My doctor has his patients do a two week diet He allows us to have vegetables but today as a cook for my family Sunday dinner I ended up eating eating a chicken wingette. Then we went to a Christmas Model Train Show and I had a little bit of popcorn. I feel so guilty I don't know if I ruined possibility of surgery even though I still have 10 days to go.

The two pounds gained must be muscle. Keep your faith and focus on the prize. You doing great.

I'm a 45 year old mother of an 8 year old boy and I want to do this for him. I want to be around a long time see him grow. In addition to having gastroparesis I also have issues with my kidney do to the bacteria I'm not digesting my food well. The doctor says it will help plus losing weight will help me all together. My surgery date is December 18th I start line liquid diet tomorrow my doctor has a 14 day liquid plan. My anxiety stems from me being able to follow through this two weeks liquid diet. I got to keep in mind why I'm doing this and keep strong. Please send positive thoughts my way of strength. Thanks.
