  1. i'm only 4 days out myself, but i think you need to keep moving to get that gas out and keep sipping...slow slow slow...but keep at it hope you feel better soon!
  2. @@kristylea93x I am 4 days post op as well and also feeling better today. Having some food really helped...I've been getting this gas out and moving pretty well. btw - where in Australia are you? My husband is from the western Sydney burbs He's been in the US for 11 years now
  3. I'm only 3 days post-op but I am so sick of sweet Protein drinks...blech. What I have loved is getting delicious Pho broth from the local Vietnamese restaurant. My husband eats the Soup and sip on the broth. Yum
  4. are you still in the hospital? i had really bad nausea the 2nd night and nurse gave me phenergan (I think) in my IV -- it stopped the nausea and knocked me out... I was better after that. I hope you get some relief soon!
  5. I must say I feel worse than I thought I would, it feels like my belly is pulling on the incisions and making it worse. I am not anywhere close to 64 ozs of liquid...ugh. Gas pains have been kind of bad today. I'm walking around though and working on getting my liquids and protein! How is everyone else doing?
  6. @@whirlwen glad you are up and moving!! you got this and use the pain killers...don't suffer unnecessarily! i'm leaving for the hospital in about 30 mins!!
  7. Hope you guys are having a good recovery! I'm up tomorrow!!
  8. Hi everyone - I'm new to the forums here and am scheduled to be sleeved on Feb 10th! I'm in Cleveland and will be having surgery here...48 yrs old, mom of two little ones who are excited that I'm going to be skinny enough to play with them soon!
  9. I am 2/10 as well and had a good cry today freaking out...I'm notoriously bad with change of any kind I know the pros far out weigh the cons, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous/anxious/excited/scared
  10. @@whirlwen - we are very similar in our stats...my surgery is 2/10! i am looking forward to so many things...i have started a list with my kids as well the husband
  11. the pre-op "shrink your liver" view would be more believable if every surgeon did it...but because there are so many pre-op diets and so many that do no pre-op diet, as a well educated patient, it makes me wonder. honestly, i wouldn't worry about a few food funerals...but i'm no expert... my surgery is coming up on 2/10...
  12. Hi - I am having surgery at the Cleveland Clinic as well! Are these your first appointments? If so, at these appointments they will talk and counsel you to make work through the various approvals -- they will decide what other tests you may need before they can submit to your insurance and order those. If you don't need anything else, you they will help you to make sure you have met all the need of your insurance company (if going that route). THEN - submitted to insurance - insurance approval - call with a date - preop testing about 5-6 days before surgery I am getting sleeved on Feb 10th! Good luck to you! Hope it goes quickly!
